HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Whether you need an idea for a beautiful portrait to give to someone special, or you have a cherished photograph that you wish to turn into a piece of art - we always begin by discussing your ideas/photographs and requirements, and take it from there.
2. A personalised (no-obligation) quote and estimated lead time is provided. I always ensure that you are happy with your chosen photograph and portrait idea, and that it works within your budget and timescale.
3. After payment of the initial 50% deposit amount, your commission will be booked in and I'll begin working from your chosen photograph to create your original watercolour painting.
4. I take great care with the small details - from facial features and expressions to hair, clothing and the little things that make the subject recognisable and uniquely yours. Every single painting is an original piece of artwork, painted by hand and created especially for you.
5. Once the portrait is completed, I will confirm that you are happy with the results before final payment is made.
6. If you require any professional prints of your portrait for family members and friends, these can be produced and shipped at the same time as the original (please see more information below).
Please Note
All commissions are subject to availability, please contact me for an estimated lead time. The pricing provided online is a guide only - please contact for final confirmation of commission, print and shipping costs.
All portrait and artwork commissions are the copyright material of Lucy Martin. This means that the purchase of the portrait transfers ownership of the physical artwork only, not the copyright or the right to reproduce it.
If you would like any additional prints produced of your original artwork, please contact me to arrange this and see below for pricing. More information can be found here.
